Dan Godman started his BJJ journey 16 years ago with Bryan Baldwin and Michael Baldwin at Cross Training Academy.
One of the things that drew Dan to Cross Training Academy was the knowledge base from which there was to draw from. Both Bryan and Michael Baldwin were accomplished Black Belts in different traditional Martial Arts as well as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This provided for a much more realistic application of the Arts and a well-rounded practitioner.
Dan immediately recognized the value of BJJ in regards to Self-Defense, especially in the area of Law Enforcement. Dan has devoted much of his BJJ training to improve Defensive Tactics for Law Enforcement with the help and mentorship of Bryan Baldwin. Dan is a Certified SCAT Instructor (formerly defensive tactics).
Dan has had the privilege to share his BJJ journey with his daughter Gabrielle since she was five.
Dan was awarded his Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2017 under Professors Bryan Baldwin and Michael Baldwin along with Professor Joe Hurst.
